My husband Todd was hoping for a Juicer for Christmas, and I’m so glad the kids and I bought him one. I have been using this juicer every day and loving it.
After checking out a handful of juicers, I decided to get him a “masticating juicer”. A “masticating juicer” is better at juicing green leafy vegetables. Leafy veggies like romaine lettuce, parsley, spinach, and kale. The alternative high-speed centrifugal juicers can produce more heat, which can damage enzymes in the fresh juice. Most importantly I wanted to find a juicer that was easy to take apart and clean.
After a great deal of research, I purchased the Qualeben Masticating Juicer (for Todd of course)!
Health Benefits of Juicing
Juicing helps your body quickly absorb the nutrients of fruits and vegetables and gives your digestive system a rest from digesting fiber. Although I’m not a doctor, I have done a lot of research on juicing and it’s benefits. We are what we eat and with todays processed foods being so convenient most of us are not getting the nutrition our bodies really need. Juicing can literally save your life and I think you are worth it!
Juicing can reduce your risk of cancer, boost your immune system, remove toxins from your body, aid digestion and help you lose weight.
It has a mode for hard vegetables and soft fruits. It has a quiet motor, comes with storage containers,
and a small recipe book for juices and the pulp.

Buy Organic
The Dirty Dozen list is known to have the most pesticides and is harmful to brain development in babies and children. Eating small amounts of pesticides over an extended period of time may even lead to an increased risk of certain cancers and fertility problems. So if you can, aim to buy Organic on the Dirty Dozen list. Groceries are getting pretty pricey these days and if buying organic isn’t in the weekly budget than just buy fruits and veggies knowing that they are good for your family and help us get vitamins and minerals that we need.
