Primary bedrooms are unique, personal, and intimate. It’s where we spend most of our time …. sleeping, and hopefully rejuvenating and recharging our body for your daily grind. What you need to refresh your primary bedroom space is up to you. Here’s our Primary Bedroom Reveal to give you some inspo. We all require different aesthetics.

What would YOUR dream Primary Bedroom look like?

My dream Primary bedroom suite would honestly look like this photo.
SIMPLE! BRIGHT! FRESH!

SIMPLIFY

The less stuff I have in this room (or in any room) the better. Less clutter and less dust to have to clean. Having less stuff makes life simple, keeps your mind clear, and gives you more time for the important things. So my Dream Primary bedroom is more minimalistic.

I’m a big advocate of organic non-toxic mattresses. There are many companies that sell them, so do your research and invest in your health.

FURNITURE

The King Wood Bed frame is from Pottery Barn. His and her nightstands have one drawer, clean lines, and match the bed frame style, also from Pottery Barn. The Mattress, matress cover and pillows are from Avocado Green Mattress.

I prefer a duvet cover over a comforter for the main reason that I like to wash it and I always choose white because I like to wash and bleach it to keep it bright. I find duvets easy to slip on and off the duvet insert and are an overall good long term investment. You can also change the duvet cover if you want a different look or if you need it heavier or lighter depending on the season. This King Size Duvet Insert is all Organic Cotton with a Feather and Down Blend.

LIGHTING

This beautiful chandelier is perfect in this space. It is made of capezio shells and has melted brass around each honeycomb piece. It is dainty and maginficent all at the same time. It’s a light that also shows as a piece of art. It is from Serena and Lily.

I actually chose not to have any wall art, canvases, or things that hang on the walls in this room because the chandelier, and pencil moulding wainscot is stunning enough.
I want to keep the walls a clean palate so that the space is neutral for my mind and body.

Above each night stand is a Pendant Light with a light switch next to the bed. This was the third pendant light I tried and it’s a charm….it needed to be the right dimension, have enough length in the drop down cord or rod (note tall ceilings) and not compete with the big beautiful chandelier. I think this fits perfectly! I also love having the switch within an arms reach. I really like this similar Pendant Light too! Make sure you measure from the ceiling to where you want the light to fall.
