PRIMARY EN SUITE

The master bathroom is every womans sanctuary!
It’s a place to soak in a hot bath,  be creative with your morning hair and make-up, and maybe even hide (Did I say that? ) maybe only when you need a Mom time-out. 🙂 LOL

I’m excited to share with you ALL of the details of our Master Bathroom!

Our Master bath is truly functional with good space and light.
Those elements flow through every room in our home.

The Tub

Let’s start with the focal point of this space….Our Elegant Maax Elina Freestanding Soaking tub.  Made of acrylic and a luxurious size of 66 X 34 x 27.
The color is white and it has a center drain.

This tub is deep and comfortable and the water comes up high enough so that my body is covered by all of those luxurious bubbles.

Plumbing Fixtures

I chose the Delta Floor Mount Tub Filler in a brilliant polished nickel, this has an option to add a hand held sprayer which is a must for cleaning the tub or rinsing hair.

The faucets are the Widespread Delta Cassidy in brilliant polished nickel.
The sinks are Gerber Luxoual Standard Undermount in the color white.

Lighting

Good lighting in your bathroom is essential. I chose to use five of these 32″ Contemporary Wall Sconces and install them through the large mirrors.

Decor Tip: Balanced side lighting as well ceiling lighting makes for the ideal bathroom lighting for reducing shadows and giving your face direct light.

I love a Beautiful Chandelier above any soaking tub.
This one was love at first sight! It’s the perfect mix of modern elegance but still has a slight casual feel to it. It’s gorgeous turned on, with the dimmer or turned off. I love soaking in the tub and staring up at this stunning fixture. The mix of metal and glass beads is so pretty. I think I could go on and on about this light.

Tile

The floor tile is 24×24 size and is called Aria.
It is a square glossy white tile with
a slight veining.

The Shower

This large “Statuario Glossy” tile in the master shower is so elegant, each time I see it I just fall more in love with it.

This Delta Cassidy Shower Faucet is a rain faucet in Brilliant polished nickel.
It is coordianted with a Delta 3-Way Hand Held Sprayer on a slide bar. For practicality every shower should have a hand held sprayer for cleaning purposes.

This niche is the perfect place to hide unsightly shampoo and conditioner bottles.
It’s tucked away so no one can see it from the exterior of the shower.

I chose to use the hexagon porcelain matte tile in shades of light gray in the niche to compliment the shower floor.

This shower bench is the perfect spot to set a fresh towel on, or to use for shaving legs.  Have you ever tried shaving your legs in a shower with nothing to prop your foot up on???
This bench makes a world of difference!

Vanity

To add a sit down vanity or not??? That was the big question! If you are in the process of a remodel or a new build you may be contemplating the same question.

VANITY PROS AND CONS

CONS

  • They “date” a home (give me 90’s and 2000’s vibes).
  • Too traditional.
  • Mirror edge typically doesn’t have a straight clean line.
  • Finding the perfect vanity stool can be tricky.

 PROS

  • Functional. I like to sit down to blow dry my hair and I have a ton of hair!
  • Nice for applying make-up.

I wanted a clean lined modern look but I also wanted the space to be functional. I decided to go with the sit down vanity but I made sure to float the quartz up the back wall so that I could get one clean line across the top so the mirrors bottom edge would also be straight.
It looks nice and I get to sit down to pamper myself.

Counter

The counter top is Silestone Et. Statuario. It is a white with a slight gray undertone and has subtle gray veining.

HARDWARE

The pulls are from the Emtek Jasper Modern Industrial Collection and are in a brilliant polished nickel. As you can see I mixed metals in this space, combining the polished nickel (that has natural yellow under tones) and brass tones with the lighting. I’m so happy I chose to do this!
